Types of Services

Grant writing services and fee structure
Consulting services are contracted on a project, monthly, or hourly basis.

Project/Program contracts will include a maximum fee for each service and an approximate time frame for each project/program completion. The scope of services, fees, and timelines are included in the contract agreement. Costs will vary depending on your needs and the specific requirements of the project/program.

Project Development
Project Development is the “Best Practice” of initiating, planning, executing, and closing a project to meet its goals and objectives. The challenge is trying to achieve all your goals within a time constraint. Grant It First will engage in conversation with organizations to provide simple project planning by implementing the following:
• Estimate a project cost
• Allocate necessary resources (e.g., in-kind services, donations)
• Plan for project sustainability
• Post evaluations
• Manage change and variance

Comprehensive Funding Research
The color of money can be frustrating. Too much time is spent on how and when to apply, which leads to losing out on funding opportunities.
Grant It First can provide services to minimize the frustration in the following areas:
• Seek grants that are specific to your organization
• Stay current on eligibility requirements
• Keep abreast of due dates, deadlines, and changes to the grant
• Be the eyes and ears to future grant opportunities
• Help you connect dollars to make sense

Professional Grant Proposal Writing Services
Grant funders want to hear about your organization and whether can you deliver a project with the use of their funds. Grant It First Consulting Services will write a compelling story about your project/program from beginning to end by submitting a “Request for Proposal” or a “Notice of Funding Availability. This proposal will be tailored to your specific project, rather than being forced to fit the funder’s criteria. We will carefully read and understand the criteria and begin working on the grant proposal early to avoid any incomplete proposals.

Grant Proposal Reviews
Most organizations may not be privy to what the funder is looking for. Often, the grant criteria can be confusing. As a government researcher in reviewing grant proposals, the first thing I would look for is the following:
• What is the nature of your project/program
• History of the organization
• Preliminary Data
• Policy or administrative concerns
• What are your expected outcomes
• Is it a competitive proposal
• Make sure you have an efficient lead time
• Concise and to the point
• Provide necessary information
• What you want to do, Why you want to do it, and What is the impact
• Review the scores of the grant criteria
• Is your project aligned with the funder’s mission or purpose

Professional Grant Writing
Most organizations are limited in resources, and having a full-time, in-house grant writer dedicated to research and application submittal takes away an organization to stay funded and focus on program implementation. Grant It First Consulting Services provides services for the following, but not limited to:
• Request for Proposals
• Highly personalized service
• Assist with follow-up and grant reporting
• Help clients build a long-term relationship with grantors
• Complete federal, state, private, or foundation grant application; proposals and letter of Inquiry
• Package grant application for submission
• Provide service if your organization opts to write its grant
• Complete all written needs for a grant application from the idea stage to the narrative, budget, and conclusion
• Communicate with your organization to gain a complete understanding of your project/program and objective
• Write sponsor letters, agreements, and Memorandum of Understanding to connect with donors and develop a partnership with businesses
• Write a complex and detailed grant narrative that responds to the grant announcement to explain your funding request
• Meet deadlines to submit a complete grant application package to the funding agency
